Vertical vegetable growing

Utilizing limited patio areas, vegetables are now being grown in upright vertical containers. Here are a few:

The vegetable tree is made of wire filled with planting mix, along an eight foot-high board with tomatoes at the bottom, cucumbers above, then radishes and carrots. Vegetable pot trees are baskets supported on a 5 x 7 foot post that has been anchored with bags of sand. There are also many types of roll-around bookcase vegetable planters being used.
