Fern Pinnate Palmate

Deciduous and evergreen trees. Most of the broad-leaved trees described in this book are deciduous, i.e. a ftesh lot of leaves is produced each spring, all the leaves are shed in the autumn and the tree remains bare during the winter. In contrast evergreen trees, e.g. many conifers, bear leaves throughout the year. However, fresh leaves are produced each year and some of the older ones are shed.
