Start Small

This chapter teaches us how to extend all the seasons and how doing that can give us an extra 50 percent of garden produce. How exciting! If you read through all this and felt a little discouraged or glazed-over, don't worry. If you have never grown out-of-season, add just a few features here and there as you gain more confidence. It can be a really fun challenge to any gardener—regardless of experience. As with all new gardening projects, my recommendation is to start small in order to gain experience, confidence, and pleasure—then expand. And just in case you need more convincing, remember that All New Square Foot Gardening eliminates so many gardening tasks so you have the time and energy to extend the seasons.
