Ethanolic extract of fresh leaves and flowers contain the secoiridoid lactones, jasmolactone A, B, C and D; and secoiridoid glycosides. Jas-molactone B and D and the secoiri-doid glycosides (multifloroside and 10-hydroxyoleuropein) exhibited va-sodilatory and cardiotropic activities.
Habitat ► North-Western Himalayas and Persia; cultivated in Kumaon, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh; in gardens throughout India.
