Hybrid teas

Because hybrid tea roses are so widely grown, they're perhaps the first type of rose that comes to mind when you think rose. They're surely the queens of the rose world, with their handsome growth habit and elegant flowers. Hybrid teas come in medium-to-tall bushes and usually have a distinctive vase-shaped profile. Elegant pointed buds precede the big, gorgeous, refined-looking flowers that are usually one to a stem. These flowers are often bred with long cutting stems, so hybrid teas are great for bouquets (see "Using roses as cut flowers"). They bloom continuously throughout the growing season.
